 SUMMER CAMP 2013 - PIONEERING

After such a massive hike the previous day, we all needed a lazy day. So we looked down the badge records to see what the Scouts needed to do that would require minimal physical effort and came up with a labour saving pioneering project.

Breakfast

As it was a rest day, we had time to enjoy a full and hearty breakfast.

It was a hot day and on our site there was a large gravel bank which was perfect suntrap for sunbathing.  Also next to our site was a very cold river. Scouts frequently chilled their drinks in the river. The trouble was, it was a difficult walk from the makeshift fridge to the optimal sunbathing spot. What was needed was a cross between an areal runway and a dumb waiter.
