After a massive hike the day before we felt we needed a rest. A lay in and a lazy day in camp was enjoyed by all.

Climbing into the Gasternal valley is like going back in time. The one road into and out of the valley is narrow and passes through rock tunnels which resricts the size of vehicle. The road is one way, up for the first half of each hour and down for the second half. The road squezes through a narrow gorge whilst clinging to a cliff. The valley then opens out into a flat bottomed glacial valley peppered with classic swiss alpine lodges.
