In August of 2003 3rd Gidea Park Scouts and
Romford District Explorer Scouts held a joint summer camp at the
Kandersteg International Scout Centre in Switzerland.
Our Six Scouts were
joined by six of Romford Districts Explorer Scouts as well as some
Networkers. For the Explorers this was intended to be a big event to launch the new Explorer Section which had only started the autumn before.
The
program of activities for the Explorers and the Scouts was very similar but the activities
were all appropriately tailored for the age, experience and abilities
of the people taking part.
