The train left Kandersteg at about 7:00pm on Saturday!  As on the way out, sleep was the last thing on most peoples minds.

The last thing Andy Lannin said to everyone before we eventually went to sleep was, we get off at 6:30am so let's be up by 6 please.

Too early.

The following morning Mark glances out of the window as we lave a station and sees a sign saying Brussels 65.

Don't Panic but we get off in 10 minutes!
After trying to asses the train's speed for a few minutes and then spending a few minutes trying to estimate how long it will take the train to travel 65 miles Mark realises that the sign was in kilometers.

Scrabbling for his watch to find that we have 20 minutes before we get off, panic starts to set in.  Everybody else is still locked in there rooms and asleep!

After ten minutes of knocking on doors and yelling at people everyone is up and getting dressed.  This is not easy to do with so many people and rucksacks in such a small space.

We stick to the tried and tested method of chucking the rucksacks through the window of the train, shortly followed by the scouts!

In doing so Andy Lannin severely damages his back and is unable to carry his massive pack for the rest of the journey.

Breakfast in Brussels.
Eurostar in Brussels.

After dosing in the Eurostar departure lounge for an hour and a half we eventually clamber onto our train back to London.

The scouts make a B-line for the Bar carriage and kindly purchased all but the last but one breakfast so Mark and Andy had to share what would have been a well earned full English. (Important tip.  Eurostar Full English - Not worth it but the cheese and ham toasties are lovely)
