As can be seen from this picture the walk down to Selden was no easy trek and the glorious conditions didn't make it any easier.

We had to stop for some liquid refreshment at the Bergus Gfelalp hut before we could progress to Selden.

A difficult bit.

In the picture below the lads are consuming another picnic

Lunch in a sun trap.
They are not in a pub garden at all, and Andy is not dipping into some fondue.  The waitress that didn't serve us at this pub we were never at, came from Dublin.

This we felt was a tad odd as this public house (that we didn't have dinner at) was about three hours walk from the nearest tarmac road in a village in the middle of nowhere.

After not having dinner in a pub we broke up the hike by paddling in the river Kander as it meandered its way back to Kandersteg.
Everyone splash Dave.
