From the top of Mount First 2548.6m the path makes a
steep descent, and wires are in place for safety. The ridge now rises
again to the top of Horvang 2518.6m but the path contours round this
peek. Past the peek of Horvang the path ascends again to the top of
Stand 2319.8m. The section between the top of First and the top of Stand
is the hardest on the hike as far as footpaths are concerned, although
where there are difficulties there are always wires in place. Group
2 passed group 1 between First and Stand.
From the top of Stand we descended past the Cheesery and down to Kandersteg.
