And with great dexterity, the Rowswell balance on the top of the highest tower to prepare the defenses, from where they could watch and disturb local maidens as they were wedded in the temple of St. Michaels.

In the picture on the right Dave, Nick and Andy J are standing on the Venture Room roof.  Jon and Dunks are sitting on the new hall Roof.

Dave and Nick attach the first panel.
It's either lunch time or the Brides Maids have just turned up

Rectangle boards were quickly cut and nailed to the roof.

Once these were down, our construction was starting to look like a proper building.  Progress on this side of the building was quick because we could stand on the Venture room roof.  Once the first row is attached, you can stand on that to fix the next row. The other side of the roof was a tad more fun!

Whilst this was going on, the rest of the construction team would have been carrying out ground work and working on the walls. Despite the fact that most of us are now sitting on solid planks, its still a long way down so this kind of high work was left for the RVU.

Of course full body harness were being used by all the workers at all times whilst working above ground level.

EVERYONE WATCHES MARK

NICK THE JESTER

In the picture on the left Mark and Nikki are waiting patiently for the next roof panel to be delivered.

All of the RVU are reasonable rock climbers so moving about at this height was not a problem for them despite the fact that the new building still rocked considerably.

In the picture above James is watching progress on the Back wall. The wooden panels on the walls are slightly thinner than the roof ones.  Allan Mathews and Mr. X managed to completely cover the back wall in a relatively short time.

The wall that backs onto the existing Venture Room part of the Rowswell Hall had to have these bits of wood attached before the hall was erected.
