HIKING THROUGH TOWN

On Monday we split into four groups for four different hikes. This page depicts the progress of the two scout groups. In all cases the first hike was intended to get everyone used to walking the steep alpine paths. The hike was short and didn’t involve much climbing. The biggest shock of all was dealing with the heat!
The Scouts walked in two small groups each with experienced leaders in them.

THE FIRST OF MANY RESTS

GETTING HIGHER

CLIMBING UP HILL

Most of the paths were wide open tracks but we did manage to find one short steep mountain path to climb on.  This would be more like the paths we would be walking later in camp.

ANOTHER REST AND A CHANCE TO COOL OFF

DON'T OVER DO IT

The hike would eventually end up at lake Oeschinensee at about Lunch time.
