As we set off on the snow, the weather was showing signs of being less friendly. The clouds were moving in to obscure our view and clear moments were taken advantage of by the photographers. Derek Tungatt led the way up the snow slopes which were becoming gradually more steep as we reached the summit. Most of the slopes were snow with just a couple of short sections of ice. |

As the climb progressed the clouds started to look more ominous. Eventually the short periods when the clouds would clear dissappeared altogether leaving just a white expanse. You could see everyone else easy enough but not much else. By the time we were nearing the top it was getting difficult
to see each other and important to stay close. Just when we thought
it couldn't get much worse the snow started.
