REBUILDING THE DEN
Work started on rebuilding the barn in October 1953 and continued until the next July when in the pouring rain of a Saturday Afternoon Mrs H.L. Thompson declaired the Rover Den of the 3rd Gidea Park open.
BEFORE THE START

The Den was in the grounds of a large house on the east side of Junction Road Romford. The house and grounds occupied the land that the Watermans retirement home now occupys. The Den appeared to be at the back of the property near to the stream in Lodge Farm park.
